The Unusual Lesson I Learned About My Family On My Girl's Trip To Vegas

THE UNUSUAL LESSON I LEARNED ABOUT MY FAMILY ON MY GIRL’S TRIP TO VEGAS

Back from Las Vegas! And I got more out of Sin City than I expected. And no, it wasn’t naughty situations that need to “stay in Vegas.”

It’s interesting how you don’t know how much you need something until you’re right there in the mix of it.

Unusual Lesson in Vegas

PIN IT, PIN IT REAL GOOD

This #TreatYoSelf excursion was more than needed. I knew I needed a vacation. I mean, most people do, but I didn’t know how much I needed to be around my old friends and sisters who are all amazing women in different stages of life. Single, married, in long time relationships, it’s all beautiful. And of course there are pros and cons to each path, but it didn’t matter.

Being able to engage in real “the meat of it” conversations rather than just the infrequent “How you doin boo?” convo is so important and filled my being so that I left with greater perspective on lessons that I learned about friendship and marriage, as well as lessons that I haven’t quite learned, but were confirmed just by having these conversations. 95% of the time, we know what we’re supposed to be doing, but we just don’t do it.

God puts us in repeat situations until it has clicked, and we have learned our lesson. A lesson about giving before you get has 100% clicked with me on this trip and now I can go forward with that for real by practicing it specifically in my business and as a wife.

My spirit is rejuvenated and ready to dive back into my life work as a mommy, wife, sister, friend, and entrepreneur.

If you are feeling overworked and ready to give up, you may need one or both of these things: a vacation, if not a full one than a 1 hour break from what you’re focusing on. The second is open conversations with people…Not through social media, but looking into someone’s eyes and connecting and sharing because you may just be confirming a lesson that they still need to learn and will now have a breakthrough because they heard it from you in the way they needed to hear it.

What lesson has been confirmed for you recently? Which means you have really learned it and are practicing it. I’d love to hear.
